FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is Lake Pines open all year?

YES!  We are open year-round, rain or shine!

Do I need a reservation?
We strongly recommend making a reservation, since our sites fill up quite frequently.  However, if you do arrive without a reservation, we are happy to accommodate you, if space allows!
Can I check into the Campground after the office is closed?
YES!  We have self-registration envelopes and a drop-slot at the office.  If you do not have the correct change or a check, you may stop by the office the next morning and pay by credit card, or if you’re an early riser and leave before the office opens, just call us with your credit card info after 9am.
What is the cancellation policy?
We give full refunds if you cancel your reservation prior to seven days from your arrival date. After that time, no refunds are given.
Can we put up a canopy at our site?

Canopies are restricted to those attached to an RV.  Freestanding screen rooms and canopies are prohibited.

May we bring pets?
YES!!! We are pet friendly for quiet, friendly pets!  We have the standard pet rules, which are strictly enforced.  All pets must be on a leash, with a human hand on the other end, when they are outdoors.  No pens, crates, stakes, etc. are allowed.  You must pick up behind your pet.  Do not allow nuisance barking, please!  Because of insurance liability issues, we do have restrictions against breeds generally known to have aggressive reputations (pit breeds, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, etc.).  We allow a maximum of three pets to a site.
Is there a fishing license required to fish in the lake?

NO!  Ours is a private pond, so no license is required to fish in it.  Please observe the rules for our catch and release pond!

How many people can stay on our campsite at a time?

We allow a maximum of six people to an RV per site. Please call for more information on group tenting.

Do you have campsites close to the pool?

YES!  There are sites across the driveway from the pool, but all of our sites are within walking distance.

Can we bring a golf cart?
YES!  Golf carts are allowed for transportation use around the park, by those with a drivers license.  They are not allowed on the nature trails or for recreational purposes.  Please do not allow children to operate them!
How far away is Fort Benning?

We are approximately 14 miles from the Main Gate.  Please check with our staff for the shortest route!

How far is Uptown/Downtown Columbus?

We are 12 miles from the Uptown Historic District.  The fastest route is US80 West, to Exit 1, then south on 2nd Avenue.
